Here in the Pacific Northwest mold is prevalent in our outdoor environment everywhere, which sometimes wants to creep into your home and create structural damage. This can sometimes be harmful to your health. SERVPRO of Clallam and Jefferson County is a franchise who can help you with your mold remediation. We work closely with an Environmental Hygienist who has the ability to perform mold testing if the mold smell or concern does not seem to be present visually or is visually present on your materials. They can test to see what your spore counts are and what types of mold are present. The first step is to locate the moisture issue in your home as mold needs moisture and heat to grow. SERVPRO of Clallam and Jefferson County will come in with our moisture meters and infrared camera, upon request, to find where this moisture is coming from. You will then want to fix this issue before the remediation can begin so that no further damage will happen. Once this has been completed you would call our company back out to begin the process. We remove porous materials affected with the visible suspected mold and treat with a hospital grade disinfectant to kill any mold spores that may be left behind.
